Description

“Mnathan na Coigach (The Women of Coigach)”

A collection of poems by Lisa MacDonald.

A thought-provoking new collection of poems in Gaelic and English. Lisa contributed work to the Coigach & Assynt Sense of Place Toolkit, and now her full collection of poems is available in this beautifully printed book. Illustrated with evocative photos of the area taken by Lisa. Cover images by Dougie Cunningham (author of the Walker’s Guide to Coigach & Assynt).

Lisa MacDonald lives in Coigach with her family. She is a teacher in a variety of settings from early years to primary school and further education. She has won prizes for poetry and short stories, and has contributed to a variety of publications. She takes a deep interest in the connections between people, nature, history and place. The daily life of communities flows and runs like the sea, and she is fascinated by the images that present themselves unexpectedly.

Published thanks to the support of the Coigach & Assynt Living Landscape Parternship and through the National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland.
