For the more experienced walker there are numerous cross country trails and mountain walks including the Sutherland Trail and iconic mountains such as Stac Pollaidh and the munros of Conival and Ben Mor Assynt.  The Walk Highlands website provides route information with levels of difficulty and the Mountain Weather Information Service has regular updates on local weather conditions.
