A talk by Dr Tim Lawson who researched his PhD (Edinburgh University) on the Quaternary geomorphology of the Assynt area, between 1979-1983. He has published extensively on the glaciation of Assynt and on its caves, including editing three small books. He continued a connection with the area for many years, bringing parties of schoolchildren on annual field trips as a Geography teacher at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh. Recently retired, Tim hopes to rekindle his association with the North-West just as soon as the covid restrictions allow.
The talk will be hosted on Zoom.
