Knockan Crag Deep Time Walk

August 31, 2016 @ 11:00 - 13:00

Free – £15

Join a North West Highlands Geopark Geo-ranger to explore Knockan Crag, a National Nature Reserve with a visitor center, toilets and interactive exhibits just off the main road.  This is the place to get an introduction to our unique landscape, how it formed and why it looks the way it does.  A well-constructed path takes a short and steep climb to amazing views across to Stac Pollaidh and beyond.  Walk through Deep Time from 3 Billion years ago to a 6 thousand year old archaeological and modern crofting landscape.  Meet at Knockan Crag NNR car park, 2.5 miles south of Elphin at 11am.

On a nice day we may stop for a pick nick at the top so bring some sandwiches if you wish. Sensible dogs welcome.

Deep Time Walk cost: Adults £5, children £3, family £15.
