Climbing Festival to continue in 2016

Saturday April 2nd 2016

***Climbing Festival dates announced as 13-18th October 2016***

We are pleased to announce that the Lochinver Climbing Festival launched by the North West Highlands Geopark will be continuing into its second year.

Rebadged as the ‘Reiff Climbing Festival’ the organisation of the festival has been taken on by a small team of volunteers from the Coigach community council area.

The festival will be based at Reiff sea-cliffs, an extraordinary outcrop of Torridonian sandstone on the Coigach peninsula overlooking the Minch with views of the Isles of Lewis. and Harris to the West and Skye to the South.

Accommodation offered in the ticket price will be camping at Port a’Bhaig campsite with plenty of other local providers available for those who want a little more luxury.

There will be family activities, climbing for all ages and stages and the option of the Am Fuaran pub in the evenings.

In continuing with the Climbing Festival tradition, a ceilidh is to be organised in Coigach Community Hall, Polglass for the Saturday evening.

The event also coincides with the community run Coigach Half Marathon on Saturday 15th October.

Keep up to date with the event on the climbing festival section of our website.
